Hi, I’m Jasper.

I am a holistic stress coach based in Brisbane, Australia. I am very passionate about treating psychological stress and illness. I become interested in stress coaching after receiving life-changing help from other therapists in my own life. I have spent a large portion of my life suffering a very extreme case of panic disorder, along with other conditions such as anxiety, social phobias and depression. I now understand how all these conditions work, and what needs to be learnt in order to go from believing recovery is simply impossible and giving up hope, to having some peace of mind and a clear sense of what needs to be worked on. I want to share what has made all the difference in my life.

ABOUT STRESS TREATMENT HUB

I founded Stress Treatment Hub with the goal of creating a place for people to help each other grow out of their psychological stress or illnesses. Life is about learning and growth, and we all are both teachers and students of life every day.

This is first and foremost a place for you to receive help for your conditions, especially conditions such as anxiety and panic. I am currently doing this via a 1:1 online (and in Brisbane) stress treatment and coaching practice, but I also plan to start a blog/youtube channel, and in the future I may offer group consultations, programs and retreats.

It is also my goal to create a place where you can help other people using your own life experiences. Currently I have a facebook support group set up for panic attacks – Panic Support Australia – where you can share your story or offer any advice you may have to others. In the future I plan to set up more facebook groups, zoom support groups, online group mastermind sessions,  and online forums where you can share freely. In addition, please get in touch if you are interested in making a guest post or interview on my blog (yet to come). In fact please get in touch if you are interested in participating in any of these ideas!

MY STORY

My struggles with mental health began when I was in high school. I spent a year with depression before I started having panic attacks back in 2007, and they seemed to get worse and worse very quickly, until it felt like my life was a single 24/7 panic attack.

I remember I felt completely disheartened after going to therapist after therapist and still not finding any clear answers on anything. I tried many different prescription medications, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, meditation, diet and exercise, and of course the classic “harden up and get on with life”.  I began to believe there were no answers. And then I met two therapists who were able to give me a clear account of the cause of mental illness. All their work came from years of cutting edge clinical research, and it is this same body of work which was used to set up a leading health retreat in Queensland, Australia called The Fountainhead Retreat. You can look at the website here:

https://www.fountainhead.com.au/

I still get panic attacks today of course, but each time I do it only further proves to me their specific cause and required lessons, and I no longer feel like they are having a detrimental influence on my life. I would love to share with you the discoveries my journey through life have revealed to me.

 MY APPROACH

In my coaching sessions, my role is that of a teacher, not a facilitator. I am here to show an effective treatment method, and be proactive in helping you to apply it to your life. I specialise in treating severe cases of panic, anxiety and depression – The more severe your case, the more confident I am that I will be able to help you. If you have severe panic and anxiety, and have tried various therapies to no avail, I am very certain that Stress Treatment Hub will be the end of line for you.

PRACTIONER’S CURSE / GURU-ITIS

It is very important for anyone putting themselves out there as a coach or practitioner to have an understanding of what I call “practitioner’s curse” or what I have heard other’s call “guru-itis”.

What is it? It can be defined as follows:

“The belief that the practitioner must present an image of being superhuman and having a superior level of control of their life and mind as opposed to being a normal human being and on the learning journey themselves”

This belief is simply not true at all. Instead of displaying a superior level of control, it is my intention to display that I am most definitely in the process of learning myself, and I simply wish to share where I am up to in that process. We do not help people deal with issues by pretending to hold a superior level of control over life, but instead by showing them an example of what human is, and helping them to learn to be ok with that.

I look forward to meeting you.

Jasper
